Working Warriors: Life Beyond Military Combat

This Wisconsin Veterans Museum exhibit features photos of everyday life in the military during World War I and World War II. The display panels can be found throughout the library including downstairs. Look for military books on display as well as the uniform of well-known local veteran, Denman Kramer, on loan from the Tripp Heritage Museum. This exhibit will be on display during the month of March. Exhibit provided courtesy of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.

Rummage Sale Donations

We are  taking donations of rummage sale items now through December 2. Help support your library and tidy your home at the same time! The Friends of the Library sale will be December 3-5 during our normal operating hours:

Thursday, December 3, 9 am to 8 pm

Friday, December 4, 9 am to 5:30 pm

Saturday, December 5, 9 am to 2 pm

We are not taking clothing or non-flatscreen TV sets.

WI Science Festival

Unleash your curiosity and discover your inner scientist! The Sauk City Library is participating as a site in the Wisconsin Science Festival, Friday, October 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. We will have a real-life robot on display with robot books for all ages available for checkout. Stop in to build your very own simple robot. You can also see our new 3D printer in action. Learn about how 3D printing works and get hands-on experience. Print a key chain or other small item to take home with you!

OverDrive's Big Library Read

Join the fun! Big Library Read is the first-ever “global eBook club,” connecting readers around the world who read the same eBook at the same time. Program sponsor, OverDrive, teams with noted eBook publishers to make two popular eBooks available to public libraries and schools for lending. During the two-week program, the Big Library Read titles are available to borrow through participating libraries and schools. It’s free and there’s never a waiting list during the program. All you need is a library card to get started reading in this international eBook club.

Culver's Reading Program

Culver's is once again generously sponsoring a reading program from October 1 through April 30. All ages may participate. Pick up a bookmark at the library. Read 20 books. Return the bookmark to the library to be stamped. Once stamped, the bookmark becomes a coupon for a free SnackPak at Culver's. This coupon does not expire. One bookmark may be redeemed per person for the duration of the program.
